Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how RouteIQ ("RouteIQ," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our warehouse-routing and fulfillment decision-support service, website, dashboard, and API.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, company name, role, login activity, and account settings.
- Customer operational data: inventory records, warehouse/origin information, SKU data, order data, line items, quantities, destination ZIP/postal codes, routing settings, and routing results.
- API and usage data: API keys, request metadata, endpoint usage, timestamps, response status, performance metrics, and error logs.
- Billing information: subscription status, plan, customer identifiers, and payment-related metadata. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are not intended to be stored directly by RouteIQ.
- Device and technical information: browser type, IP address, session information, and similar technical data used for security, troubleshooting, and service operation.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve RouteIQ.
- Process inventory, order, warehouse, and routing data.
- Generate routing decisions, explanations, exports, and reports.
- Authenticate users and API requests.
- Monitor usage, enforce plan limits, troubleshoot errors, and improve performance.
- Manage billing, subscriptions, trials, and account status.
- Communicate with customers about product, support, security, or account matters.
3. Order, Inventory, and Routing Data
RouteIQ processes customer-provided operational data to perform fulfillment routing and related reporting. This may include SKU-level order details, inventory availability, warehouse origins, customer destination ZIP/postal codes, and routing results. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights and permissions necessary to provide this data to RouteIQ.
4. Transit and Carrier-Related Data
RouteIQ may use third-party transit or carrier-related data sources to estimate delivery timing or rank warehouse origins. Customer-facing routing explanations are intended to remain carrier-neutral unless a specific product feature or customer configuration says otherwise.
5. Billing Providers
We may use a third-party payment provider, such as Stripe, to process subscriptions and payments. Payment providers may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. RouteIQ receives payment status and subscription metadata needed to manage access to the service.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell customer data. We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us host, operate, secure, bill for, or support RouteIQ.
- Third-party data providers used to provide routing, transit, or platform functionality.
- Legal, regulatory, or security parties when required by law or necessary to protect RouteIQ, customers, or others.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide RouteIQ, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve the service, and maintain security. RouteIQ may apply retention windows to detailed operational data, logs, exports, and metrics. For example, detailed routing history may be retained for a limited operational window while higher-level usage or billing records may be retained longer.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, or misuse will never occur. Customers are responsible for protecting their login credentials and API keys.
9. Customer Controls
Depending on your role and account configuration, you may be able to access, update, export, or delete certain information through the RouteIQ dashboard or by contacting us. Some records may be retained as needed for security, billing, legal, or operational purposes.
10. Cookies and Local Storage
RouteIQ may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember account context, improve the interface, and secure the service.
11. Children's Privacy
RouteIQ is a business service and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Use
RouteIQ may be operated from the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using RouteIQ, you understand that information may be processed in those locations.
